Best weather app there is! since 2012!

Have had this app since 2012 and I think it is the best app to buy at this price! I have never been let down by this app…recentlyI purchased another weather app to try at the same price…and it has been a disaster…booting rebooting deleting and reinstalling about 20 times…do not waste your money on the others…this makes knowing the weather reports the most informative and accurate that I have found…you will not regret this app :)

Complete Garbage

This is one of those abandoned apps you hear about. Temperature is wrong and does not update; keeps saying “try again later”. So many other weather apps that are much better. No updates since March 4th, 2015 ???

Drop Down Menu Periodically Stops Working

Addition to my original review: Periodically the drop down menu stops working and I have to restart the computer to get it working again. This seems to happen in particular when I make a change in the main app, such as adding a city. ______ I have weather for both the US and UK set up. A UK town is set as default. Imagine my surprise when the temperature icon was lit up in red indicating a severe alert even though it was sunny outside. I went to the app and saw that the sever alert was for a town in the US, but the actual text said that there was a severe thunderstorm over Scotland OR over a town maybe 100 miles away from the town in the US. The app obviously gets confused. Sort of wish I hadn’t bought it on sale over the weekend. Also, the main app needs a complete overhaul. It is rather ugly, and the animations add nothing, but instead get in the way.

Trash

This is nothing more than a $9.99 DOWNGRADE from the free version. FREE version has hourly weather, $9.99 only has 3-hourly. FREE version shows all my cities at a glance, $9.99 version I have to manually scroll through the cities. Not happy, Bob, not happy!

$10 for a weather app and they have in app purchases?

This is a $10 application to display the WEATHER. Why they want to charge for a widget, a subscription at that, is beyond me.

Very nice!! Glad to see for Mac!

Have been using this app on iPhone for awhile now and it’s a favorite! Looks great on Mac too and easy to use! THANKS!

Animated radar costs more??? Ripoff

I paid to get this app then find out that my radar isn’t animated unlike many of the FREE apps out there. You are told to spend more money to uncripple the app. Rubbish money grab….

Very useful weather app

This is a very convenient app for looking at the weather forecast. I really like the 3-hourly feature that lets you see information for the current day every three hours. Very useful for planning your day’s activities

Developer listens and continues to make it better.

I have been using Clear Day back when it was still called Weather HD. I always found it beautiful and even more so after the latest update. The new maps view is great. Constantly use the Moon phase and the weather alerts have saved me from forgetting to plug in my recharable flashlights before a storm. Try the app in full screen. You won’t be let down. My only wish is that I would like a flatter UX/UI to match OS X. Not a deal breaker. Just a nice to have.

Always Running In The Background

I always have this app running in the background so I can quickly check the weather in input locations of interest worldwide. User friendly and pleasing to the eye.

Informative

I love this app. I’d heard that it drew a lot of Mac performance but I haven’t noticed it. It’s got great scenes and keeps me up to date on what’s happening weather wise.

Great Application

How do you tell a great application? For me, it is the ones that I use all the time, almost without thinking about it. Clear Day, is first a great weather app. Forecasts are accurate, interface is clean and full of information. I use it on my laptop, iPad, and iPhone. I like the weather overview, the maps, the weather alerts, and the user interface. Great App!

Wroks as advertised

I have no complaints, would like to see a future radar forecast option but other than that, I have no issue and would recommend to a friend

Great Little App

Great app! Love it. Especially the radar.

Clear Day is helpful

I like it a lot because I can see wether to go outside to jog or not.

Just to point out

When you open maps, “satellite” is misspelled (it’s written as “sattelite”).

Clear Day

Easy to use and the picture tells the story, I like the 3 hour review to see how the day will end. I use it om my IMac and it shows me the tempeture and a symbol of the current condition without opening the application.

Great App

Lives up to what it says it is; a great little weather app!

Good and easy to use, but….

I really like this product, I have tried a couple of others and found they just sat there and ate cpu cycles for simple updates. I really like the dropdown menu item, easy to use looks nice and otherwise fits well into my routine (look up there is the weather). What I dont really like is the main app, its just ok and it has a nice “looking” background animation, but there is no way to turn it off and the information about the day gets cut off when you have the radar open, I still pop over to weather underground or accuweather’s website for the information I need. My suggestions: 1. Make the main page more configurable, if I don’t want the animation make it a static background. Plus its hard to read the text when its white on a blue/white cloud background 2. More information for the week in the main app, the dropdown has more information at a glance then the main app. 3. Remember the width of the app when it closes… I am moving it everytime to see the day text. Otherwise it is a very nice app.

VoiceOver Compatibility and Blatant Disregard For Keyboard Accessibility

I just purchased Clear Day hours ago and can not stress how much of a disappointment and waste of money it is to me. I am a VoiceOver user because I am completely blind. The interface of Clear Day is _completely_ inaccessible. VoiceOver _only_ says, from left to right: image, image, button [unlabelled], image. There are two sidebar options but I can not even find the sidebar! The preferences are more accessible than the app’s main screen but there are still so-called images not to mention the dimmed button after the table and _unlabelled_ text cells within the table [pertinent to the General tab]. Moreover, the menu that appears when the status extras bar item is activated disappears after an estimated five seconds. VoiceOver fails to speak the entirety of an item after an estimated five seconds but this is _not_ a fault of VoiceOver. In essence, you as Vimov LLC, the company who develops Clear Day for Mac OS and iOS have _never_ and currently do _not_ consider us who are unable to use a mouse/trackpad or see a monitor. This app is a beat-down plus a slap in the face for blind users. If you make every aspect of the app fully accessible my outlook may very well change. Till then, the entire public sector deserves to see this because it must be illustrated that Vimov LLC has absolutely _no_ regard for the blind sector of their user-base. I so wish I could reclaim my US$2,17 [including taxes] spent on this piece of useless rubbish.
